When we opened the Grapevine branch of Ironworks Gate Co. in 2013, it wasn’t because we saw a business opportunity on a spreadsheet. She called us at the parent company, asked if anyone could actually fix what two other outfits had already charged her to fix, and Victor Salinas drove out the next morning. He was trained by old-school metalworkers who measured twice and welded once, and he’s brought that discipline to every apprentice and journeyman who’s worked under our name in Grapevine. When he’s not chasing a gate issue somewhere in Coppell or Southlake, he’s usually in his shop, teaching someone how to read a grain of steel before they strike an arc on it.
