Elite Gate Parts & Welding in Grapevine: What to Know First

Elite gate parts and welding in Grapevine typically run $180-$620 depending on whether we’re replacing a hinge, rebuilding a post mount, or cutting and welding a sagging rail. Most Elite hinge and bracket work on a standard swing gate is completed in one visit, since we keep the common failure parts in the truck. The price is always quoted and agreed before any work starts. If you own an Elite gate that’s dragging, sagging, or pulling free of its hinges, call (432) 237-4128 and we’ll give you a straight answer.

This page is for Grapevine homeowners who own an Elite gate and want to know what’s actually wrong with it, what it’ll take to fix it, and what it should cost. We’re an independent Elite service provider, not an authorized dealer. We work on these gates every week.

How Elite Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

Elite builds a solid gate. But around Grapevine, we see the same handful of failure points year after year. Here’s what actually happens, and what we do about it.

  • Hinge weld fatigue on Elite SL3000 series swing gates. The SL3000 is common in Grapevine’s established neighborhoods off Dove Road and Hall-Johnson. The factory hinges hold up fine for a decade, but once the gate starts sagging even a quarter inch, the hinge pin takes all the load and the weld begins to crack from the inside out. We grind out the old weld, re-set the hinge at true level, and weld it back with proper penetration. A bolt-on attempt won’t hold.
  • Post lean from Texas clay soil movement. Grapevine sits on expansive clay that swells and contracts through our wet springs and dry summers. Gate posts set in concrete still move over 10-15 years, especially on corner-lot properties. When the post leans, the Elite gate’s geometry goes out of square and the latch or roller binds. We straighten the post, re-set the base, brace it, and reweld the hinges so the gate closes like it did the day it was hung.
  • Rail sag on Elite Estate line double gates. On wider Elite Estate openings, the center rail carries a lot of unsupported weight. After years of heat and occasional wind loading, we see the rail bow downward and the pickets start spreading at the bottom. We cut out the fatigued section, sleeve and weld in a reinforcement, and re-square the frame. The gate comes out straight, not straight enough.
  • Roller and track wear on Elite slide gate models. For Grapevine homes with Elite slide gates, the rollers are the consumable. Cheap aftermarket rollers flatten into ovals within a couple years and the gate starts chattering. We install hardened-steel rollers sized to the track, and we check the guide trucks at the same time so the gate rolls quietly instead of chewing itself apart.
  • Latch and lock misalignment after hinge repairs. This one’s predictable but worth naming. When someone patches a hinge instead of re-welding it, the gate drops, and the Elite locking mechanism no longer lines up with the strike. We see it often enough that every welding job we do includes re-aligning the latch and testing the access control before we leave.

Our Elite Gate Parts & Welding Process

Here’s how a typical Elite gate parts and welding job goes when you call us in Grapevine:

  1. 1
You call, a live person answers. That’s our dispatcher or a technician. You describe the problem, and we schedule a visit when it works for you.
  2. 2
On-site diagnosis. Victor Salinas or one of our senior techs inspects the gate in place: hinge welds, post plumb, rail straightness, roller wear, latch alignment. We tell you what’s wrong, why it happened, and what it will take to fix it.
  3. 3
Parts decision. If the gate needs components, we present the options honestly: OEM Elite parts when the warranty or the spec demands it, quality aftermarket when the aftermarket part is equal or better for less money. You decide before any work starts, with the price on the table.
  4. 4
The repair. We cut, grind, weld, replace, re-hang, and re-align. The truck carries the common steel stock and Elite-compatible hardware for most Grapevine gate jobs.
  5. 5
Test and cleanup. We cycle the gate several times, check the latch and any connected opener, and clean the work area. We show you what was done.
  6. 6
The guarantee. Every job is covered by our 90-Day Done Right Promise in writing. If something isn’t right, we come back and make it right. No paperwork, no arguing.
